Description

John Bead "Good Thread" – Bonded Nylon Beading Thread

Elevate your beadwork with John Bead Good Thread, the professional’s choice for strength, durability, and smooth performance. This 100% bonded nylon thread is engineered to glide through seed beads effortlessly, resisting the fraying and shredding common with standard threads. Whether you’re working on complex loom designs or delicate fringe, Good Thread provides the perfect tension and a sleek finish that lasts.

Available on a massive 500m (547-yard) bulk spool, this thread offers incredible value for high-volume makers, production artists, and enthusiasts alike.

Why Makers Love Good Thread:

Bonded Strength: The special coating increases abrasion resistance, allowing for multiple passes through small beads (sizes 10/0, 11/0, and 15/0).
Anti-Fray Technology: Say goodbye to "fuzzing." The bonded fibers stay tight, even when cut or unthreaded.
Low Stretch, High Tension: Maintains the structural integrity of your jewelry without sagging over time.
Bulk Value: The 500m spool ensures you won't run out mid-project, minimizing the need for visible knots and joins.

Specifications:

Material: 100% Bonded Nylon
Spool Size: 500 Meters / 547 Yards
Recommended Needle Size: #10 or #12 Beading Needles
Best For: Size 10/0, 11/0, and 12/0 Seed Beads, Delicas, and Crystals.

Top Use Cases

Loom Beading: Because it is strong and has low stretch, it is perfect for warp threads on a bead loom.
Bead Embroidery: The thread lies flat and holds knots securely against beading foundations (like Lacy's Stiff Stuff).
Fringe & Tassels: It provides a "soft" drape, allowing earrings and necklace fringe to hang naturally rather than looking stiff.
Off-Loom Weaving: Ideal for stitches like Peyote, Brick Stitch, and Herringbone where the thread is hidden within the beads.
Indigenous Beadwork: Highly popular for traditional medallions, moccasin decoration, and regalia due to its durability.

How It Compares

If your customers are used to other popular brands, here is how you can explain Good Thread to them:

Compare To	The Difference
Nymo	Good Thread is stronger and frays much less than Nymo. While Nymo is iconic, it often requires waxing to prevent tangles; Good Thread’s bonding agent does that work for you.
FireLine	FireLine (a braided fishing line) is much stiffer. Use FireLine for structural items (like 3D boxes) and Good Thread for things that need to move and drape (like fringe).
One-G / KO	Good Thread is very similar in performance to One-G, but is typically offered in much larger "economy" spools, making it significantly more cost-effective for daily use.
